The Fonbet KHL All-Star Game is the culmination of the All-Star Week, much anticipated by tens of thousands of hockey fans all over the country. Everyone is looking forward to seeing the top stars of Russian and world hockey under the guidance of our top coaches. February event in Novosibirsk will be the 15th in the KHL’s history and, in line with tradition, will include a skill show as well as the All-Star Game itself.
Since the first KHL All-Star Game in 2009, the likes of Alexei Yashin, Jaromir Jagr, Alexei Morozov, Sergei Mozyakin, Danis Zaripov, Alexander Radulov, Sergei Fedorov, Maxim Afinogenov, Leo Komarov and other world stars have taken part. Talent from Novosibirsk has left its own mark: Vladimir Tarasenko’s penalty shot with a puck and a fishing rod remains one of the most memorable skill show moments; Yegor Milovzorov took his shot dressed as a fish in the same contest. Almost every year brings another legendary penalty shot: think of Linus Omark’s burning stick, Konstantin Barulin’s figure skating, Darren Dietz reciting Pushkin or Nigel Dawes as the Hat-trick King.
What will the stars think up for Novosibirsk? It won’t be long before we find out!
